Dear skating friends!
It is our great pleasure to announce that in 2026 Hvidovre Skating Club once again welcomes figure skaters from all over the world to compete in Copenhagen. Skate Copenhagen will be held on March 26th - March 29th, 2026 and skaters from all figure skating clubs and national figure skating federations associated with the ISU are invited to participate.
We anticipate a great international figure skating event. As always, Hvidovre Skating Club will do its utmost to provide perfect conditions for both skaters and spectators. We are certain that it will be an enjoyable event for all, both on and off the ice - in the beautiful city of Copenhagen.
Skate Copenhagen invites skaters in the following categories:
Senior Men and Senior Women (short program and free skating).
Junior Men and Junior Women (short program and free skating).
Advanced Novice Boys and Advanced Novice Girls (short program and free skating).
Springs mixed gender - age 6-13 free skating. (ISU Intermediate Novice)
Cubs mixed gender - age 6-11 (free skating). (ISU Basic Novice)

Hvidovre Skating Club is located 15 km from Copenhagen Airport and 10 km from downtown Copenhagen.
The local S-train station (Friheden) is approximately 400 meters from the ice rink, and it takes 15 minutes from Copenhagen Central Station (track 11 and 12) to Friheden, direction Hundige or Solrød Strand (line A).

Rules of the competition
The competition will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2024, the ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Single & Pair Skating and all relevant ISU Communications for season 2025-2026 (Communication 2699 – Guidelines for International Novice Competitions).

Note! Hvidovre Skating Club reserves the right to limit the number of entries in regard to time availability and total number of entries.
Note! We would like to welcome as many countries as possible and therefore reserve the right to limit the number of Danish, Norwegian and Swedish skaters if necessary. This limitation will be applied to the latest entries first, and skaters will be placed on a waiting list pending cancellations from other countries.

Entry Fees
Entry fee for Senior, Junior, and Advance Novice 1195 DKK
Entry fee for Basic and Intermediate Novice 925 DKK
Late entry fee according to availability 250 DKK
Note! Entry(ies) and any additional booking(s) are binding and will be collected. There can be no refund due to withdrawn participants.
Practice
Practice in advance of the short program and free skating is included in the above entry fee. Remember to fill in included practice on the entry form and please note that practice will start Thursday morning. During included practice up to twelve (12) skaters can be on the ice at the same time.
The fee for additional practice (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), is 150 DKK per practice (45 minutes) per skater. During additional practice up to eight
(8) skaters can be on the ice at the same time.
Music
Music will be played from digital mp3 files only, not CDs. The organizer will provide a link for music upload. Each club is also responsible for bringing a digital copy as backup to the competition. The file name must clearly state: full name of the competitor, program, country, name of club and the category in which the skater is entered. The last date for mp3 music file upload is March 15th 2026. There will be technical support available for those who experience problems. Participants are responsible for any issues regarding clearance of the music used in their programs.
Judges & Technical Panel
The participating clubs and federations are welcome to propose ISU or international recognized:
The organizers will arrange, and pay, for transport, accommodation and meals for judges, specialists, controllers, and other technical staff during the competition.
Meals
It is possible to buy lunch, dinner, light snacks and drinks at the rink throughout the competition. Frihedens Idrætscenter Restaurant “Halvleg” is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00.
Awards
The three best placed competitors in each category will be awarded with a medal. All competitors will receive a diploma and a gift during the award ceremony at the end of each competition day.
Liability
Hvidovre Skating Club accepts no liability for injury or damage sustained by any participant or official in this competition, in accordance with ISU Rule 119. Members, skaters and others are expected to provide their own insurance.
Hvidovre Skating Club reserves the rights to make changes to this invitation and other material related to Skate Copenhagen. However, any significant changes will be announced on our website: https://www.skatecopenhagen.com
Travel, accommodation and other costs connected with participation in Skate Copenhagen are at the skaters and clubs own expense.
Cancellation:
In the unlikely event that there are not enough participants or due to other unforeseen circumstances, Hvidovre Skating Club reserves the right to cancel the competition. In such cases entry fee(s) and other collected fee(s) will be subject to a refund.
